Today, Friday, June 26th, we took the kiddo's to a nearby fire station. I literally called them up this morning and inquired about how "visits" worked and they told me I could stop in today! (Keep in mind that I had called several stations over the last week to see which one was open for visitors...)

I wasn't sure how things would go... we live near a different station and say "hi" and wave to the trucks every day, but have never been this up-close and personal.

Overall, it was a neat experience and we'll have to keep our eyes out for more opportunities to play with the "big" trucks!
