April Review....

So just to re-cap... things are CRAZY in the Garcia house! We put our house on the market, had family come for Easter, made a whirlwind trip up to Cleveland (over the course of one weekend) and are planning another trip up North near the end of May.

I was hoping for some better pic's of the kiddo's from Easter, but I guess that is what you get when you have three little ones in opposite directions. Sigh... I will keep trying.

The kids are doing great! The girls are really starting to "play together" and it is neat to see them role play. They talk on their phones constantly...today they were talking to Aunt Michele and Uncle Jeremy, but it changes by the hour.

Mary has taught Mateo the unsightly act of pulling down the pants and taking off the diaper. Apparently he doesn't have a listening problem - he only listens to his sister (and not his mom!) Back to the masking tape we go.

Jet-Set

While the family was in town, we made a stop at the barn where Aunt Michele boards her horse, Jet. The trio were a bit skeptical of the large animal and only Mateo agreed to pet him. Sigh...we'll have to keep trying.... (Gabby for sure needs some coaxing! She sat in the mini van most of the time we were at the barn!)

Easter 2009 - pic's

Easter 2009 - egg hunt

Easter 2009 - baskets

I think the favorite part for the trio were their easter baskets... and of course, all the other easter baskets that they rec'd from family and friends. (thank you!!!) They were hoping the easter bunny was going to show up the next day!

Easter 2009 - egg coloring

We were blessed to have visitors' Pa, Aunt Cas, and cousins Belle & Asheligh this year for Easter. We colored easter eggs on Holy Saturday... the kiddo's weren't quite sure what to think...they mostly watched.

uh....what are you doing?

haalo - haalo

a favorite phillipine treat...shaved ice, sugar milk, and lots of fun exotic fruits... yummy!

are we crazy?

are we crazy?
It is OFFICIAL - the Garcia's are moving back to Cleveland!!!
Are we crazy for wanting to go back to that awful weather? Take a look at our car from Dec., 31, 2008....and that was in a little bit of snow... Sheesh!
Weather aside...we are extremely excited about moving back to our family & friends and can't wait for summer to arrive when we will be making our journey back home.

Easter 2009

PICTURES coming soon....

Actually, I hope I am not too disapointed by the lack of pictures that we took over this past week. We were lucky to have visitors - Pa, Aunt Cas, and cousins' Ashleigh & Belle.... for a full week. It is not an understatement to say that the kiddo's LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the extra attention they rec'd from the family. And we also saw Uncle Jeremy & Aunt Michele a few times over the week, too...

We'll post pictures soon...

now they've done it

It wasn't enough that they stole my body - giving me extra skin and stretch marks that will never go away.... but now they have taken my youth. Yep, I have spotted my first grey hairs.

And to think that I wasn't old?

This is a sad day, my friends.... I am going to need some time to get over this one.

appreciation...

It's time to philosophize.. (is that really even a word? I spell checked it and it said it was ok....)
Anyway... today I had yet another encounter with the staff at our local grocery store, Harris Teeter. I am not sure if we have mentioned them in previous blogs....other than the fact that the triplets and I make our weekly visit to this store and the staff SPOILS us. And I do mean "us" - not just the babies.

What strikes me the most about our weekly visit is not just the fact that they give us a "helper" to push the cart as we walk around the store doing our shopping, but are the friends that I have made at this place. Yes, we have been going there for over a year now, but seriously...who can make such sincere friends out of a 5, 10, or even 15min conversation? These people love (and I really do mean love) my kids... they kiss them, feed them, and act as though we are family to them... And they support me. (especially during December when Grammy passed away.) I actually look forward to my weekly trips to the "teeter" to socialize and spend time with them... and so do the kids. In fact, they have started to learn our friends names... so thank you, Christa, Jan-Jan (i.e. Gi-gi) and all of the other staff at HT...

But that's not all.... we have another group of people at the kidzone (day care at the gym where I work out) that truly seem to care about the kids...they take the time to talk to me, the trio....and have grown to be a supportive role during our time here in Charlottesville. When Gabby is asking if Pam or Amo are going to be ACAC... you know that they are being treated well...

And what about all the people down in Jacksonville that supported and befriended me before and during the trio? My Hidden Hills freinds like Julia, Cindy, and Sandra.... or Tammy and Pattey? They didn't have to give up personal time to help me with the kids or support me mentally and emotionally during my pregnancy. But they are kind hearted, generous women who have blessed my lives with their presence.

How many people are lucky enough to experience this once in their lifetime? And I seem to find examples everywhere I turn.

We should all be so lucky.....

cherry blossom

not much has changed since last year
well... maybe their seating arrangement!

(and of course them!)

mateo's hair...

Either Mateo has come killer hair that is soft to the touch... or Gabby likes to be in charge of what Mateo is doing! (I vote for the latter... ) This is her latest signature move when it comes to taking pictures. At least they all look at the camera now. :)

camera

The camera saga continues.....

Now a spatula, plastic toy cutting board, and even a cup of grapes can act as a camera. And we've added oral dictation to our photography as well. Thank you, Dora the Explorer.... "ola!"

oh...and yes, they do own a child's camera! But what fun is there in that?

plastic eggs

The trio are loving their plastic eggs, although they don't understand the correlation between the eggs, the easter bunny, or even Easter itself. In fact, Mateo runs around kicking the platic eggs calling them "soccer balls." Don't ask. I haven't a clue.

trio outside our front door

mary in search of the eggs. ok.... I was lame and dumped them all in a 2ft radius... not much "hunting" going on there...

toe found one... he carried his "blue" one all around with him

gabby wasn't intersted in looking for or picking up eggs- instead, she walked around with a little girls' barrett mimicing me with "cheese" or "look at the camera" or "hey..smile for the camera"... only a little child's imagination can turn a green hair clip into a fascinating camera
