start 'em young

Abby and I get to enjoy some "girl time" while the trio are at school... and that sometimes entails a stop at Starbucks. She often gets angry because she isn't allowed to drink Mommy's "coppee" (her version of coffee) but I found out today that they have little tiny cups with lids that are the perfect size for Abby! She thoroughly enjoyed her water "coppee" today!

cool menu

Mateo says to me yesterday... "We have to go back to that Friendly's place... they have an xbox controller menu, and I love it!"

So it really isn't about whether or not the food is good or bad, it is the look of the menu that counts!

remember when?

A smile creeps across my lips as I search for the below picture. Eleven months old. Was that even possible- that they were that small at one time? I know pictures prove it, but my memory fails me. I vaguely remember setting up this picture at Penn Park, in Charlottesville, VA... trying to get the leaves together by hand, as I kept a swift eye on crawling babies... and trying to grab that one SECOND where they all stayed in place at the same time, so I could get the picture. (And in all honesty, I probably had to doctor this picture because someone's eyes were shut.) Ahh... I guess that not much has changed in that respect. Although I had helpers make the leaf pile this year, I still had to alter the picture a little to make sure all eyes were on the camera.

Happy Fall, everyone!

beautiful fall, beautiful kids

it's the great pumpkin....

We had a fantastically beautiful day to pick our pumpkins from the patch!

never to cold....

... for soccer! Our last game of the fall season was played outdoors in 35 degrees. Brrr!!!

trick or treat

The kids had a blast with all the halloween parties... the girls were each princesses, and Mateo excitedly wore a home-made version of Luke Skywalker from Star Wars. Abby doted some butterfly wings and a fancy head piece.

Unfortunately, Mary got sick the morning of Halloween and didn't get to trick-or-treat. None-the-less, candy abounds!
