Take me out to the ball game

Last week, the Cleveland Indians had a "kids get in free" day during one of their double-headers... a perfect opportunity, Lou had decided, for me to take the kids downtown to the ball park. A lot of work, but yes, a lot of fun!

I needed to recruit some help, so I asked Aunt Liz to tag along. We took the kiddo's on the rapid transit (our train system) so that we wouldn't have to drive downtown and mess with the work day traffic. They were mesmorized by the train!

They were even more in awe of the ballpark. And lucky for us, the afternoon game wasn't crowded - with plenty of space to spread out and enjoy a hotdog.

We ended up leaving before the team came from behind and won... but we still felt the excitement! Choo-choo!!

Lorain County Fair

Although we loved (especially Mary) petting the horses, the tractors seemed to be the big sell this year. And of course the rides!

another zoo trip

We are lucky to have a zoo membership... so at any point where we need "something" to do, we can always fall back and visit the animals! (Not that we don't have our own zoo in this house?!?!)

The 5 amigo's.... Thomas, Joe, Mary, Gabby, and Mateo

Abby, Savannah, and Aunt Liz wanted to join in on the fun

and petting a snake... she is quite the adventurous one!

sudd'n up dad's car

I really don't know what is more funny...hearing Gabby say "BMW" (emphasizing the letters as she says it) or the trio helping Daddy wash his car. It took over an hour for the four of them, and I think they were more wet than the car!

just "remind'n'" you....

I am not sure if I have blogged about this before, but even if I have, I think it is worth repeating....

All three of the trio are potty trained, with the exception of being able to wipe after #2. Mateo at least is trying to wipe his own hiney.... but, all three are used to calling out when they need some help.

Except Mary.

She calls out - "wipe my hiney" and when I arrive to do the deed, she says she isn't ready. I look at her and say, "didn't you just call me to come and wipe you?" And her response?

"I'm just remind'n you."

At least once day, I am reminded that I need to wipe her hiney- even if she isn't ready yet.

Misunderstood

Mary to Abby on our walk yesterday- "I don't speak baby, I speak Spanish."

Poor Abby, she is already misunderstood....

visit with Aunt Fay

Last week, my friend from Jacksonville, Fay, came to Cleveland for a short visit. It was awesome. Not only did I get some much needed "girl" time, but she was so great with the kiddo's that they have already started to ask when we will see her again. And I'm sad to say, I don't know.
