double the weight

At our 11wk appointment last week, we found out that we have doubled our weight! Mary was 9.9lbs, Mateo was 9.5lbs, and Itty-bitty Gabby was 9.3lbs! Way to go babies!!!

"Hmmm let me think about this for a second...do I want to stretch, cry, or eat?" - Mary

"Mom... a little help please??? My head is too heavy and chubby to lift on my own.." - Mary

"If I stay low enough, maybe I will scooch under all of their radar and not get caught up in all the "girl" drama!!" - Mateo

Survival of the fittest for food in the Garcia home... below, Mary is anxiously awaiting her bottle and wasn't quiet about it! Mateo had had enough...."quiet sissy!" "Here...take my fist and use it to suck on....that should hold you over until the bottle is ready!"

At their 6wk mark, a friend that does part time photography made a house call to take pictures of the babies. Although it was cloudy, we did get a few good "natural light" shots of the babies - see below. (they will be 9wks this Thurs.!) Photos by Gretchen:

8 weeks today!

We are growing strong and steady over here at Casa Garcia... still eating every three hours, although the amounts vary at each feeding. (Sometimes we have a "hunger strike" and other times we can't feed them enough - as you can see from Mateo's plump cheeks!) We aren't sleeping through the night yet and giving Mommy a lot of running around with feeds, changes, and the often "I just want my nuk!" cry in the middle of the night. But it is all worth it when you stare into those gorgeous eyes!
