swim party

Remember when the trio took their ISR swim classes? The instructor had a party this weekend at a nearby rec center and it was an awesome pool! 85% of it was under 3ft with lots of fun water activities for the kids to play with....

check out how each one goes down the slide... too funny!

me and my "peeps"

The garcia 4 LOVE to take time out to pose for the camera... and as you can tell, we need a new word to yell besides "CHEEEEEEEEZE!"

sitting pretty

I can't even begin the describe the emotions I feel every time I see my baby reach a milestone and do something "for the first time." I can't believe how big she is and how fast the last 7mo have gone!

making music

We were very lucky to have been invited by Aunt Hilary to join her and the Bay Village Pre-school PTA on an outing with the Bay Village High School Marching Band.
Music + instruments + cheerleaders + football field = fun activity for the trio!

getting to march across the field... Mateo continued to yell "goal" as he walked across

the girls made instant friends with the Bay Rockettes - the cheerleaders for the band.

Check out their dance moves to the band's music... even lil' Joe - trio's cousin - is keeping time with the drum set!

woman of many talents

boys will be boys

Please... can anyone tell me why boys just let it "go" wherever they are? Don't they feel the urge to urinate? We have ingrained the mantra "pee goes in the potty".... since when do the bleachers at Westlake High School equate to a toilet?

(Ahem... it was a treat to sneak up to the high school today on our walk...we even saw the HS marching band parade by us 3ft away from where we were standing....maybe that was too much excitment for the boy as less than a minute later he was peeing on the bleachers... and if that wasn't bad enough, he was adament about removing his shorts and underwear since it was wet! Poor boy had a long walk ahead of him in soggy clothes...)

the good...the bad...the ugly

the good: mateo dressed HIMSELF.... all by himself for the first time...
the bad: his sense of style... gotta love the socks!

proud moment

I'm not proud that the trio are accustomed to getting "treats" or "surprises" when I get home from running an errand (i.e. shopping trip to target or the grocery store) and even ask for them... BUT.....

today they were so cute when they wanted to share their gifts with each other and "see" what the other had gotten... (today's treat was an expandable washcloth...thank you, dollar store) ... they genuinely seemed happy for each other ... and to top it off - it was an excellent bribe for them to take a nap!

don't try this at home

conversations

Daily I am reminded at how my trio are growing up....and growing up fast. With as much complaining I do about how much "work" it is to raise these three....there are so many rewards that you never about... and the biggest one seems to be the conversations that they have with each other, and with me. I am constantly amazed at what they pick up (and from whom... ahem.. you know who you are!) and the simplicity in which they think. Can life really be that simple?

Gabby: Mommy, that guy looks like Daddy
(I glance up at the billboard that we are driving by... with a white congressional candidate wanting our vote)
Mommy: Really? What makes you think he looks like Daddy?
Gabby: He is wearing a tie... and Daddy wears ties.

How can I argue with that?

all the cousins in the shark tank

eat her up!

future tennis stars

now days... we don't even have to be on a tennis court to wave around our racquets... anything from a broom to a wooden box can act as a tennis racket... and we aren't afraid to "wack it!" (some bruised cheeks to prove it!)

sock fetish

there are so many "wrongs" in this picture that I don't even know where to begin... I never know what I will come across during naptime in the Garcia house!

bike riding

"i can be...centerfield"

all aboard!
